The Labyrinth Lens

The labyrinth. A journey you started from when, before you even knew the path- that there was a path, even, to appear in A forest you’d frequented daily… a labyrinth leading to somewhere that so many others do not return to tell the tale: of what was, of what lies; within a place that only has the face of ever- inhaling the end point…

What of us then, when we are within the maze? Perhaps we would find a lens, to then show us: A message from the destiny, of course! It would be all we needed if- (reads message) it were not only riddles! Lines like from a stanza revealed- akin to a broken bow, with no fiddle. Now, even seeing it, the disappointment, you must STILL navigate yourself through though, and ironically as a spectacle, too, as there is no spectator sport existing here for you; you understand now. The message seen through the lens is: you are the message, too. The direction you take will be brought to you by the brightness of your blazing steps, your story becoming illuminated… it's your journey through, and back again, this journey…and, to make it back out again, that is, after facing the great mystery (monster, did you know?) of yourself. Thirsty now, though, at a pool of water; underground depths. 

Arrived…Looking at your reflection between gulps, Will the image of yourself there- at the center of it all, when you realize that this is the end… when looking up, from the fountain, now facing the blazing hot white light of memory- flooded now with
What walls and patterns we have built into houses and castles with dungeons and the story of our lives, showing truly (and if the memory alone hasn’t yet turned you to ash, or even stone)
Will we be left will the ability to also remember… just- because truly, you must know (“um”)
WEll, Blinded, indeed - but, the route back out… of where we came! We must just remember, the way back! We must! Will it be, then won by: destiny, or skillset, or trust?

Wait- am I the first?
Could it already have been written?
If there is more than I…
Could we come bearing maps, with direction, a compass to bear, legends to read the ways in and out? And if we could collectively share our memory… we could make an atlas, showing together the routes! Would then, oh Atlas, would he really carry the world with heavy shoulders after all? I’m pretty sure then, that the burden would be lifted, and the only thing gifted heavy would be the shoulders themselves; our stories like wings or branches of trees, laden with apples of truth, pie in the sky over seas of shining sealing wax, free to be without an apple skin, to shining sea, in honor for Icarus who needn’t have flown the face of our friends that grew hooves together and ran, out of the labyrinth with him.
