Chronic Pain is My Life Now
At the end of the day, we can endure much more than we think we can. -Frida Kahlo
I decided to work with the American Squalor Project because I feel it is time to be seen for who I really am, and the pain and boredom I live with. Chronic pain is my life now. It has overtaken everything I do. This is the reason I identify with Frida Kahlo so intimately. Through her art and writings she was able to express her pain, loneliness, and isolation. These are common feelings for people with chronic pain. I hope these pictures will speak to my pain, my loneliness, my boredom, and the isolation I feel.
